I probably shouldn't post a link to this, because people might start actually expecting me to update it. I wrote this about 3 in the morning or so... I think I read Liz's blog and needed to respond somehow, well, here it goes: Of Backways.
I write sometimes, it helps me relax.
Anywho, today was pretty fun for the most part.
I woke up about 10:30 or so, which was good, the day didn't feel quite so wasted. I putzed around for a bit and finally headed for Barnes an Noble to spend a gift card I got around Easter. It was for $10, and I had no clue what I was going to get. I wandered around for a bit in the Fantasy section before I ended up in the Military History section. I wandered back over to look at some manga, finally, realized that I had to leave for class, I decided on something I've been meaning to read forever, Sun Tzu, the Art of War. It's tough reading, because the direct translation from Chinese is filled with double negatives. My reading comprehension level is high, but I'm having to read everything two or three times to understand the full meaning. Once I understand it though, it's fairly profound, simple, yet profound.
I did all of my homework during math class, so I'm done with it until next week, hooray. I spent the last 20 minutes or so going through the book, word by word, trying to absorb it all. Something doesn't remain that popular world wide for so long without having a lot to say...
After class I ran home, talked with my mom, and went over to Elizabeth's. We watched Men of Honor and Rat Race, good movies, I love Men of Honor though. After the movies I went over to Dellovechio's. There were only a couple of other people there, Sinley and Pat. We looked through Hot or Not, trying to think up the worst keywords we could. There was a lot of fun, and screaming at scary goth chicks.
